Mountain View Area Tourism
Each time you visit or refresh the frontpage of our website you will see different pictures of Mountain View. Whether you're looking for something to do inside or outside; with other folks or all by yourself; Mountain View and the surrounding area has just what you're looking for. When you get to Mountain View, you'll want to stay for a day or two so check out the local services.
Don't forget to stop into the area's arts & crafts shops, fine art galleries, and antique stores. Some of the most talented artists reside in the Mountain View area so don't miss their work. The Stone County Recreation Complex has a public swimming pool, tennis courts, ball fields, picnic area and playground. The Municipal City Park (located north of the the Court Square and south of the Ozark Folk Center) has a beautiful picnic area with tables, grills and water. Additionally, there is a wonderful amphitheater adjacent to the park. It is a great location for weddings, concerts, or just sitting and meditating. Contact the City of Mountain View, (870) 269-3804, for more information on the amphitheater. There is a hiking trail from downtown thru the amphitheater to the Ozark Folk Center. The Stone County Fairgrounds is located north of City Park.
The music, the beauty of nature, the small town atmosphere, and many outdoor activities keep people coming back to Mountain View year after year. |
